The Twelve Days of Christmas
Here at the CFR we are counting down the days to Christmas - only two days of term left to go!

Reading buddies
We also took advantage of the hot weather to do a "reading buddies" activity in the playground. The students of 2nde each took a small group of CE1 students outside to help them with their reading books.
Reading
As you can imagine, towards the end of term it gets very hot in the classroom at school! For this reason we decided to take advantage of the shade in the garden, and read outside.

Little Red
Another school trip for CE1 and CE2!
Last week we went to the theatre in Reus to see "Little Red", a play in English. It was a version of the traditional folk tale Little Red Riding Hood, but with some changes. For example, Little Red was a very naughty girl, and the wolf was really a policeman in disguise!

Off to the circus!
Last week in primary we were lucky to go to the circus in Reus!
It wasn't what we imagined, however. Instead of a circus with clowns and animals, we saw Trapezi, a small group of acrobats who did a very interesting performance using a ladder, frame and ropes!

Poet's Spring
Another activity we did the week before Easter was to celebrate spring by working on poetry in all our different languages - Catalan, English, French and Spanish.
After preparing in class, we visited the centre of Reus in small groups and invited people to listen to our poems. The response was fantastic - thank you everybody who took time to listen!

More on English Day
As you can see, the students helped to decorate the school. Thank you!
We also had a typical school lunch of fish, chips, peas and chocolate pudding. Did you like it?

English Day!
Here are some photos of English Day, which we held at the CFR on the last day of term before Easter.
As you can see, we started the day with a typical School Assembly, followed by a Talent Show, a typically English school lunch, and then rounders and cricket in the afternoon.

Well done everybody, and thank you for all your help!

Science Week
Just before the half-term break, we held Science Week at school.
I was lucky enough to accompany the CP class to one of their ornithology workshops. Only ten minutes walk from school, and we are in the countryside!

CM2 Art project
Just before Christmas, CM2 did a short Art project in their English class.
While revising classroom language and objects, we started to look at a pair of scissors, and ways in which they can be incorporated into other images.
It was a great opportunity to use our imaginations - just look at the results!

CE2 "Little Donkey"
Just before Christmas, CE2 did a short reading about a Christmas, "Little Donkey". This was a short play about a very hard-working donkey who meets Father Christmas.
